Meet the Team
Sheri
Founder, Interior DesignerSheri lives in Los Angeles, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and continued her design education at UCLA, studying Interior Architecture.
Before pursuing interior design, Sheri built a career in commercial and residential property management, and business operations. That experience continues to shape the way she works today, forming the basis for her strong organizational perspective and a seasoned understanding of the moving pieces behind a successful design project.
She believes deeply in quality, pride of workmanship, and collaboration. Great design is a team effort, with clients, designers, craftspeople, and suppliers all working towards the same goal; a space that feels like home, not a showroom.
When Sheri isn’t dreaming up unique spaces, you’ll likely find her spending time with family and friends, driving down the California coast ... .or the 405, trying a new restaurant, or hunting for something unexpected to bring into her next project.
Tom AKA Dad or PaPa
AdvisorA Southern California native, Tom now calls Newport Beach home. He brings decades of experience in the building industry to his advisory role at Sheri Marie Interiors, offering a practical perspective and depth of construction knowledge to our projects.
Tom began his career as a Union tile setter, working on model homes, commercial buildings, and luxury custom homes throughout Orange County and Los Angeles. He later focused on developing his own projects and managing custom home construction. This hands-on experience gives him an extensive understanding of how a home comes together, from the details you see to everything happening behind the walls.
Today, Tom serves as our eyes and ears on Orange County projects. His experience brings an added layer of knowledge and confidence to the SMI design and construction process.
When Tom isn’t on a job site, he’s usually off on an adventure. A lifelong motorcyclist, Tom has traveled several times to the tip of Alaska and to all four corners of the United States on his motorcycle. Along the way, he finds inspiration in natural materials, rugged landscapes, and the character of small roadside towns.
